IS 126 (and all New York City public schools) will be closed Monday for a traditional snow day with a blizzard forecasted to hit the five boroughs, Mayor Zohran Mamdani announced Sunday.
At the press conference in Brooklyn he clarified there will be no be remote classes, giving us the first traditional snow day since 2019.
“While the continuity of our children’s education is of the utmost importance, to ensure the safety of students, teachers and parents throughout the storm, schools will be closed tomorrow,” he said.
